Coos Bay Public Library, 525 Anderson Ave., Coos Bay, OR - Baby Storytime, Tuesday, November 4 in the Myrtlewood Room, 10:00am – 10:30pm. Meet other parents or caregivers and learn songs, rhymes, and early literacy tips. Geared towards kids 0-14 months and an adult parent or caregiver. STEAMTime, Tuesday, November 4 in the Myrtlewood Room, 11:00am – 11:30am,. Ages 4-8 with a parent or caregiver, Tuesdays at 11:00am, November 4-December 16. Get ready for STEAM Time! Hear a story and watch a demo or do a hands-on activity with a local STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics) professional. Each week will feature a different Coos County presenter. The program is geared towards preschoolers and home school students. This week will feature Coos Bay's Water Quality Team.

STEAMTime at CBPL

Coos Bay Public Library, 525 Anderson Ave., Coos Bay, OR - This November and December, the Coos Bay Public Library is teaming up with local organizations to offer STEAMTime Tuesday mornings at 11:00am. Geared towards older preschoolers and homeschool students ages 4-8, each program will feature a book and a hands-on activity revolving around a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) concept. The program is free and doesn’t require registration. Featured community members and organizations include: • November 4: City of Coos Bay’s Water Quality Department; • November 18: Natural Grocers Nutritional Health Coach Cheryl O’Dell; • November 25: South Slough Naturalist Cherie Turner; • December 2: SWOCC’s Dr. Aaron Coyner; • December 9: Oregon NASA Space Grant Ambassador Sabrina Pingree; • December 16: Coos Watershed Association, Elena Bernier.
