IDANHA, Ore. (KTVZ) -- An 85-year-old Redmond man died in a crash on Oregon Highway 22 near Idanha earlier this week, Oregon State Police reported Friday. ***Distracted Driving Enforcement*** Beginning April 1st through April 30th, 2026, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the distracted driving blitz. Distracted driving is any activity that diverts a driver’s attention from the primary task of driving, significantly increasing the risk of crashes and injuries. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office will have some extra patrols out during this time frame, specifically focusing on distracted driving.
