Description
CFPA, Sept. 6, 7:51 p.m. - Rogue River Siskiyou National Forest, and private contract firefighters have been actively engaged in structure protection for the last 24 hours, defending the Paradise Lodge and Half Moon Bar Lodge. The protection efforts have been successful; however, firefighters will continue to be engaged until the threat is completely eliminated. In addition to active structure protection, CFPA has deployed resources to strengthen and build containment lines to protect private lands to the north. To date, CFPA has brought in multiple resources to assist with these efforts including six hand crews, six engines, two water tenders, eight different types of heavy equipment, various overhead and medical assets. This reinforces our commitment to protecting both the community and private lands. At 6pm tonight, Great Basin Incident Management Team 5 assumed command of the Moon Complex. CFPA will continue to be engaged on the fire with the Incident Management Team until the threat to CFPA protected lands is gone. For fire updates follow Southwest Oregon Fire Information.
