CHM release - The Coos History Museum will host the February First Tuesday Talk program, Writing the Stories that Shape Us, with Coos Bay native and author Barbara Robertson Drake on February 3, 2026, from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Coos Bay native and Marshfield High School graduate Barbara Robertson Drake is the author of memoirs Peace at Heart and Morning Light, along with poetry collections including What We Say to Strangers, Driving One Hundred, and more. In this talk, she’ll share how writing your own stories can enrich your life and connect with friends, family, and beyond. This program will be hosted in-person at the Coos History Museum, with an admission price of $7 for non-member adults, $3 for youth, or FREE for CHM members in person. Doors open at 5:30 pm with time to explore the museum. Pre-registration is encouraged.
