Coos Bay URA Budget Committee
The City of Coos Bay URA Budget Committee will meet on Thursday, May 8, 2025 – 6:00 PM, City Hall Council Chambers, 500 Central Avenue. Zoom Remote Attendance Link & YouTube Link Agenda: 1.Welcome and Introductions; 2.Overview of Municipal Budgeting in Oregon; a. Presentation; 3. Election of Officers; 4. Public Comments: The Public Comments period is intended for the public to share ideas and concerns; it is not intended for an interactive discussion with Council. There may be opportunities for public comments during specific agenda items that require a Public Hearing, members of the public are requested to confine their remarks to questions or issues under discussion during this time. During ANY designated comment period, individuals shall not engage in personal attacks, shall not impugn the motives of any speaker, and shall at all times, while in session conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. No person shall make personal, impertinent, slanderous or unauthorized remarks or become boisterous while addressing the Council. a. Public Comment; 5. Presentation of Budget Message by Budget Officer: a. Presentation: 6. Review of Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026: a. Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026; 7. Required Motions for Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026; a. Motion to Approve "Option 1" Pursuant to ORS 457.435(2)(a); b. Motion to Approve Imposing the Division of Taxes and Special Levy Option Taxes; c. Motion to Approve Proposed Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Budget; 8. Adjourn, or continuation to May 15, 2025, if necessary.
