Congratulations to two outstanding leaders at Southwest Oregon Regional Airport! ✈️🎉

Congratulations to Bob Hood on an incredible 33-year career and a well-deserved retirement. Bob has been a familiar face during Leadership Coos Emergency Services Day for many years, and his knowledge, professionalism, and dedication have helped educate and inspire countless class members. He will certainly be missed, and we wish him nothing but the very best in this next chapter!

Congratulations as well to Russell Corona on your well-earned promotion to Airport Operations Manager! Russ is no stranger to the Chamber family, either, as the husband of longtime Chamber member, Ambassador, and Past President Lonni Corona. We know his years of experience, commitment to safety, and dedication to our community will serve him well in this new leadership role.

Wishing you both continued success as one remarkable chapter comes to a close and another begins. Congratulations!

Today marks the end of one remarkable chapter and the beginning of another at the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport.

After 33 years of dedicated service, we congratulate Bob Hood on his well-earned retirement. Bob’s leadership, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to safety have left a lasting impact on our airport, our team, and the entire South Coast community. We wish you nothing but happiness in this next adventure (and we’re glad you’ll still be around part-time to share a little of that invaluable institutional knowledge!).

At the same time, we’re excited to congratulate Russell Corona on his promotion to Airport Operation Manager. Russ brings years of airport operations and Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) experience to the role, making this leadership transition a seamless one. His knowledge of the airport, commitment to safety, and dedication to serving our community make him exceptionally well prepared to lead Airport Operations into the future.

👏 Congratulations, Bob, on an incredible career and a well-deserved retirement.

✈️ Congratulations, Russ, on your well-earned promotion. We look forward to the next chapter under your leadership.
