Still no police release on the fatal accident Saturday, Aug. 30, in Coos Bay at Kingwood Ave. and North Bayshore Drive. Names of the operators were on the police logs, but no other information has been made available. According to ODOT, police crash team investigators were back on the scene Tuesday evening. “ODOT: SW Oregon: Both directions of U.S. 101 will be closed in Coos Bay near Kingwood Avenue due to police activity until at least 6 p.m. Tuesday and possibly longer. Please use an alternate route or delay your trip if possible.”
