FREE Technology Classes for Seniors Coming to Brookings

Starting February 18, 2026, Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative and Beacon Broadband, in partnership with Southwestern Oregon Community College, are bringing the Connected Senior Program to Brookings. This is a free, hands-on digital literacy program designed specifically for older adults.
This eight-week program helps seniors feel more comfortable using everyday technology, including communicating with family and friends online, accessing healthcare and telehealth services, managing finances and bills online, using smartphones, tablets, and computers, and navigating essential digital tools safely.
Classes are taught in a welcoming, small group environment with step-by-step instruction tailored to individual skill levels. No prior technology experience is required.
Where: Southwestern Oregon Community College Brookings Campus
When: Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m., beginning February 18, 2026
Cost: Free, no cost to participants
