Description

Out of an abundance of caution, contractors placed sandbags around the failure point of the White Liquor tank June 5, 2026, in anticipation of rainy weather over the next week. The implosion killed 11 workers.

The Cowlitz County coroner announced Thursday the cause of death for 10 workers killed in May’s chemical plant implosion at the Nippon Dynawave Packaging plant.
