Oregon running back Makhi Hughes as the Ducks hold their annual spring football game at Autzen Stadium in Eugene on Saturday April 26, 2024.

EUGENE — Makhi Hughes was arguably the most prominent transfer to join Oregon this offseason. He was the fifth running back to see the field for the Ducks in their season opener though, leading to curiosity and concern from fans as to why the preseason AP All-American did not have a more prominent role.
