Date/Time: January 26th – February 8th 2026 Classification: Seatbelt Enforcement Location: Coos County From January 26th through February 8th, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office participated in a county-wide seatbelt enforcement campaign. The Sheriff’s Office worked (8) total hours of enforcement and made the following enforcement actions. (4) Warnings given for speeding (2) Citations written for Driving While Suspended (1) Citation written for failing to wear a seat belt, along with (3) seat belt violation warnings (2) Vehicle equipment violations – warnings (2) Citations for Driving Uninsured (7) Additional warnings for other traffic violations. c It is encouraging to see the increased level of those wearing their seatbelts from years past. They truly do save lives.
