DEAR ABBY: I am a 38-year-old woman with a 21-year-old daughter, “Penny.” I got pregnant at 16 and was very much alone, with little help from those around me. For a variety of reasons, I decided not to involve the father or his family.

On Saturday, January 10th, District Governor Chris Waugh hosted a voluntary "Mid-Year Refueling Session" for Club Presidents and Assistant Governors in Cottage Grove. An impressive turnout of 29 dedicated leaders came together to share insights, recharge, and refocus. The session provided a vital space for leaders to discuss what energizes them in their roles and what challenges they face. Governor Waugh emphasized that while metrics are important, the core focus must remain on the meaning and purpose behind why we join and serve in Rotary. After lunch, attendees heard valuable updates from District Membership Cheerleader Kellie Hill and District Public Image Chair Deanna Rivera.
