EUGENE — Oregon’s defense shined in the team’s first preseason scrimmage, outperforming an offense that had shown promise.
While the offense had performed well earlier in the week, particularly in the red zone and with explosive plays, coach Dan Lanning noted that the defense dominated Saturday’s closed scrimmage at Autzen Stadium, securing multiple three-and-outs and limiting big plays.
