DEQ release - The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality issued an air quality advisory Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, for the Portland metro area (Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties), as well as Baker, eastern Clackamas, Crook, Deschutes, Harney, Jefferson, northern Klamath, northern Lake, Malheur, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, and southern Wasco counties due to smoke from multiple wildfires in Oregon and Washington. DEQ expects the air quality advisory to last until at least Tuesday afternoon.
