Portland police arrested Assane Diop on Friday morning, alleging he smashed into a city vehicle while driving under the influence. Photos show Diop's Mercedes Benz with extensive front-end damage.

A Portland man is facing charges of driving under the influence, reckless driving and cocaine possession after Portland police say he smashed into a city vehicle early Friday morning, then attempted to drive away.
