Description

In a chaotic scene Saturday evening, Portland police officers removed tents and possessions belonging to anti-ICE protesters that fully blocked sidewalks near the federal immigration building. Conservative streamers and counterprotesters gleefully watched from as close as inside the tents.

With potential deployment of National Guard troops on hold until at least Tuesday and windy, rainy weather proving inhospitable or downright hostile to outdoor activity, court watchers and pro- and anti-ICE activists in Portland largely took a timeout Saturday.
