Description
Oregon: Contact easacommunity.org/programs/ to find your county’s Early Assessment and Support Alliance program or email the statewide group at [email protected]. The program, funded with state and federal money, provides support and services to people 12 to 27 who have had a psychotic episode within the prior year or have demonstrated early symptoms of psychosis not driven by substance abuse.
The program is now considering expanding eligibility to age 30. Multnomah County is also planning for a future “step-down program” to provide up to another five years of early psychosis care, with guidance for independent living, school or work, medication support and substance abuse specialists, said Megan Sage, director of the EASA Center for Excellence at OHSU.
