About two dozen people gathered outside the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in South Portland on Wednesday evening, Nov. 5, 2025. Some wore inflatable costumes, others carried signs, and a few streamed the gathering live online.

Portland police arrested a Massachusetts woman at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in the South Waterfront on Saturday after the woman visited the protest site just to check out what she’d seen on the national news.
