Editorial: Striking PCC faculty should drop push for back pay and let classes begin

Description

The PCC strike has disrupted students’ education, financial aid and may even affect their visa status, the editorial board writes. The faculty union’s demand for back pay is not a justifiable reason to prolong the strike.

When employees go on strike, employers don’t pay them for that lost time. This is neither a new idea nor is it controversial.
