Description

Marilyn Brisbois with her son, Brom, and daughter, Maeve, on the playground at Peninsula Elementary School in North Portland, where Brom is a kindergartener. Brisbois has been hoping for dedicated support from a paraeducator for her son, who has communication and speech issues, and is in a mainstream classroom at their neighborhood school.

Five-year-old Brom Brisbois doesn’t yet speak in full sentences.
