Oregon and Maryland meet today in the opening round of the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament in Chicago, with both programs trying to salvage difficult seasons and keep their postseason hopes alive. The No. 16-seed Ducks (12–19) face the No. 17-seed Terrapins (11–20) in what projects as a tightly contested matchup between two injury-impacted teams that underperformed relative to preseason expectations.
