Description

On Tuesday at 1:20 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an extreme heat warning in effect until 10 p.m. for John Day Basin, Foothills of the Southern Blue Mountains of Oregon, North Central Oregon and Central Oregon.

The weather service describes, "Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures of 99 to 102 degrees expected. This will pose a moderate to locally major risk of heat-related illness."
