Description

Senate President Rob Wagner of Lake Oswego and House Speaker Julie Fahey, both Democrats, speak with reporters in June 2025. The pair announced late Wednesday that they will move in the upcoming February short session to set a transportation tax vote for the May election.

Oregonians will get to vote on several transportation tax and fee hikes this May after top Democrats realized they could not legally repeal the proposed tax hikes to prevent a ballot vote, as Gov. Tina Kotek had proposed.
