In July, FBI Director Kash Patel, in middle, presented bureau's Shield of Bravery medal to Hostage Rescue Team agents who helped Oregon State Police stop and arrest occupiers of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in January 2016. Nearly a decade after Robert “LaVoy” Finicum was shot and killed as state and federal police moved to arrest occupiers of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, the FBI’s new director has honored FBI Hostage Rescue Team members involved in the chaotic operation.
