Description

BANDON – Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center announces its clinical and non-clinical Employees of the Month for February 2025. Employees of the Month are nominated by their peers and voted on via an anonymous poll. Awardees receive points on the hospital’s AwardCo platform, which they can redeem for merchandise or gift cards, and also receive a designated parking spot for the month.

Clinical:

Brittany Layton, Ultrasound Tech II, Medical Imaging Department

“Brittany has truly shown what it means to be exceptional here at Southern Coos,” her nomination states. “With her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and unwavering dedication, she consistently goes above and beyond to support the team and provide outstanding service to our patients.

“Known for her kindness and lovely demeanor, she is always ready with a smile, making both patients and colleagues feel comfortable and valued.

“Brittany excels in all aspects of her role, from technical expertise to providing a calming presence in sometimes high-pressure situations.

“What makes Brittany so special is not just her technical skills, but her ability to bring warmth and compassion into the workplace. Her team spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand never go unnoticed.

“Thank you, Brittany, for making our team better every day. We are lucky to have you with us!” the nomination concluded.

Non-Clinical:

Kevin Reopelle, Patient Access Specialist, Multi-Specialty Clinic

“Kevin has been working at our front desk by himself due to two other employees who are out sick,” the nomination states. “Even with long lines to the door, he is very professional and manages to work with all patients. Kevin is a valued team player,” the first nomination concluded.

“Kevin has been working alone, doing a wonderful job; always professional and compassionate with patients,” a second nomination stated. “He is a team player with integrity, very courteous and kind. No drama with this employee, just patient-centered care.”

A third nomination stated: “Kevin is the ‘sturdy foundation’ of the department and meets every challenge with a calm, can-do attitude. He is a fine example to all patients and coworkers.”

“This person has become the first face seen at the front, where quality healthcare with a personal touch begins,” stated a fourth nomination. “The commitment and hard work ethic seen every day, no matter what is going on around this person, is appreciated.”

Congratulations to both Brittany and Kevin for their hard work at Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center. You are appreciated!
