Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield said the outcome of Marion County's lawsuit affirms the state’s sanctuary law, and if federal authorities want information on immigrants, they must get a judge's order.

A federal judge in Oregon this week dismissed a lawsuit filed by Marion County seeking clarification on whether county officials can comply with “immigration enforcement subpoenas” under the state’s sanctuary law.
