Served in a flaming clay pot, Constantinople’s signature beef kebab is rooted in Anatolian tradition.Handwoven rugs, mosaic lamps and a sweeping chandelier transform the dining room into a warm, transportive space inspired by Istanbul.Behind the bar, staff craft inventive cocktails and pour imported Turkish spirits.Lahmacun, sometimes referred to asStrong Turkish coffee is served alongside pieces of Turkish delight, a traditional pairing that caps the meal.A colorful spread of mezze offers a sampling of Turkish flavors, served with balloon bread.A Turkish twist on a classic margarita blends citrus with regional flavors.Rugs from Nomadic Vintage Rugs, Korkmaz's Turkish and Anatolian textile business, decorate the dining room.From left to right, partners Nedim Korkmaz, Ridvan Kan and Berkan Sakaci bring decades of experience and a shared vision of Turkish hospitality to Constantinople in Northwest Portland.A kebab served with bread, fries, rice and grilled vegetables.A sweet dessert plate highlights classic Turkish confections.The menu maps Turkey’s diverse culinary regions, complemented by a curated selection of imported Turkish wines and beverages.

Inside Constantinople on Northwest 21st Avenue, a lush dining room welcomes patrons with glowing Turkish mosaic lamps and an elaborate chandelier hanging from the highest point of a vaulted ceiling. Handwoven rugs line the floors and walls, and along the room hang circular blue Nazar charms — known as the “evil eye” — traditional talismans meant to ward off envy and negative energy.
