The OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union State 3A & 4A Volleyball Championships are coming up Nov. 8 & 9 in the Bay Area.  While the OSAA has its rankings, based on computers, the State’s coaches have their own thoughts as to who will make the tournament with their final polls:  Westside Christian (22-1), out of Tigard, is No. 1, in the 3A Poll, followed by Valley Catholic (22-4), Beaverton at No. 2.  Burns (26-1) is No. 3, followed by Dayton (18-4), Sisters (18-4), Cascade Christian (16-6), Catlin Gable (13-9), Coquille (13-6) is No. 8, followed by Salem Academy (16-6) and Douglas (13-4).  In the 4A Poll, Marist Catholic (20-1), Eugene, is No. 1.  The Spartans only loss this year is to the 3A’s No. 1 Westside Christian.  Cascade (14-5) is No. 2, followed by Pendleton (18-3), No. 3, Marshfield (11-8), No. 4, Henley (19-3), No. 5, Philomath (14-6), No. 6, Cottage Grove (12-6), No. 7, The Dalles (14-5), No. 8, Astoria (15-5) and Stayton (10-9) tied at No. 9.  The OSAA rankings will freeze on Tuesday, Oct. 28.  Currently, in the 4A OSAA Rankings, Marshfield is also No. 3.
