The Coos Forest Protective Association, CFPA, has reduced the Fire Danger Level to “Moderate” following a day of rain along the South Oregon Coast.  “Regulated Use Closure and Industrial Fire Precaution Levels (IFPL) Decrease, Wednesday, September 2nd. Effective Immediately 0800.  IFPL in zones CS-1, CS-2, CS-4, CS-5, SK-1 and SK-2 will decrease to Level 1. All zones will now be at Level 1.  The Industrial Fire Precaution Levels system is designed to prevent wildfires by regulating work completed in the woods.  Regulated Use Closure levels will DECREASE to MODERATE (blue) district-wide. Lands affected by this declaration include state, private, county, unincorporated towns, and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) forestlands in Coos, Curry and Western Douglas counties.
