Fire on Columbia River sinks boat, destroys floating pier

A fire burned two boats and a dock in Rainier in this photo, taken from the tug Kathryn B. by Capt. Robert Perlot.

Two boats were engulfed in flames – and one sank – in a fire at a floating dock in the Columbia River on Sunday, officials said. The fire also destroyed the dock.
