Description

Coos Forest Patrol Protective Association release - Effective Saturday, October 11th, 2025. Fire Season and the Regulated Use Closure on the South Oregon Coast has been terminated.  Debris burning is now allowed, but please keep your burns limited to wood and paper products. Paper products should be burned in an enclosed area with a screen, such as a burn barrel, to prevent large ash particles from escaping.  For safety, we recommend the following guidelines for debris burning:  •Clear Surroundings: Ensure that the area around the burn pile is cleared of any flammable materials.  •Fire Tools and Water: Have fire tools (such as shovels and rakes) and a sufficient supply of water readily available at the burn site.  •Attend the Fire: Remain in attendance until the burn pile is completely out. Do not leave the site unattended at any time.  CFPA would like to thank everyone for their cooperation this fire season.
