A federal jury Friday awarded a specialized cardiologist $4 million in damages against Oregon Health and Science University and $50,000 in punitive damages against her former department chief, finding the medical school and her boss discriminated and retaliated against her because she was an outspoken woman who complained about inadequate patient care.
