Description
The back nine at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club was Spencer Tibbits’ friend, as the former Oregon State standout is expected to make the 36-hole cut at the U.S. Open in Southampton, N.Y.
Tibbits, who played at OSU from 2017-21, rallied on the back nine Friday to shoot a 4-over 74 and finished 36 holes at 2-over 142 on the par-70, 7,440-yard layout.
