Chef Gabriel Pascuzzi stands inside Mama Bird, a grilled chicken restaurant that he owns in Northwest Portland's Slabtown neighborhood.

Bistecca, a wood-fired Italian steakhouse from former “Top Chef” contestant Gabriel Pascuzzi, will close next month after negotiations to sell the restaurant to another group fell through “on the 99 yard line,” Pascuzzi told The Oregonian/OregonLive.
