A crew member of the United States Navy Virginia-class submarine USS North Carolina (SSN 777) throws a line ashore as the submarine arrives at Fleet Base West, Rockingham, Western Australia.

The Pentagon, on Sept. 24, awarded Fluor Marine Propulsion LLC, Arlington, Virginia, $2.4 billion for Naval Nuclear Propulsion work at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory.
