At 8:09 p.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service released a freeze watch valid for Wednesday between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. for Upper Hood River Valley.
“For the Freeze Warning Monday night into Tuesday morning, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 28 to 32 degrees expected. For the Freeze Watch Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 28 to 32 degrees possible,” says the weather service. “For the Freeze Warning Monday night into Tuesday morning, probabilities for temperatures at or below 32 degrees range between 70-95%, while probabilities for a hard freeze with temperatures of 28 degrees or colder range between 5-35%. For the Freeze Watch Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, probabilities for temperatures at or below 32 degrees range between 50-70%, while probabilities for a hard freeze with temperatures of 28 degrees or colder range between 15-40%. These probabilities are highest in the Parkdale area and lowest in Odell.”
