Description
From Ribbon-Cutting to Rebranding—A 30-Year Legacy
On May 18, 1995, the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce had the honor of celebrating the grand opening of The Mill Casino with a ribbon-cutting that marked the beginning of an iconic chapter on the shores of Coos Bay.
Now, three decades later, we proudly stand alongside our longtime member and partner as they evolve into Ko-Kwel Casino Resort. This transformation honors the heritage and resilience of our local tribal community while continuing The Mill’s legacy of hospitality, entertainment, and regional pride.
From all of us at the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce—Congratulations, Ko-Kwel Casino Resort! We look forward to the next chapter of community impact and shared success.
