Description
The North Bend City Council held a public hearing on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, to consider a request from North Bend Sanitation for a 2.89% increase in residential and commercial garbage collection rates within the North Bend city limits. The request was approved by the Council. North Bend Sanitation requested that the new rates take effect November 1, 2026. Under the proposal, the standard 35-gallon weekly residential cart would increase from $28.77 to $29.60 per month, an increase of 83 cents per month. Other residential and commercial rates would also increase, with the dollar amount depending on the type and frequency of service. The City’s franchise agreement with North Bend Sanitation required the City Council to review proposed rate changes and hold a public hearing before making a decision.
