Description

Golder’s NAPA Auto Parts is celebrating an incredible 105 years of family ownership, hard work, and service to the Southern Oregon Coast!

Their story began on August 13, 1921, when first-generation owner Carl Golder Sr. opened his doors in North Bend, selling parts and machining automotive and industrial parts in his belt-driven machine shop. In 1925, when the National Automotive Parts Association was formed, Carl became one of the first NAPA jobbers on the West Coast.

The Golder family legacy continued through the generations:

🔧 First Generation: Carl Golder Sr.

🔧 Second Generation: Carl’s sons, George, Carl Jr., and Lee

🔧 Third Generation: Lee’s son Allen and his wife, Mary Jo, along with Lee’s daughter, Kathryn

🔧 Fourth Generation: Allen’s sons, Jesse and Matthew, and Kathryn’s daughter, Morgan

🔧 Fifth Generation—family by choice: Carter Nash and Riggs Royce Silva

Alongside generations of dedicated employees, the Golder family has built the oldest continuously family-owned NAPA store operation in the country. They proudly serve North Bend, Coos Bay, Coquille, Myrtle Point, Bandon, Gold Beach, Brookings, and the surrounding communities with quality products, knowledgeable service, and support for automotive and industrial needs.

Rosey had the honor of presenting the Golder family with a Heritage Award in recognition of their remarkable 105-year legacy.

Pictured with Rosey are Mary Jo and Matthew Golder. Mary Jo’s commitment to her community extends beyond the family business—she is currently running for North Bend City Council and has some great ideas for the community’s future.

It was also a special day for the family as Riggs Royce Silva celebrated his first birthday! Happy birthday to this fifth-generation Golder family member and possible future store employee. 🎉

Congratulations to the entire Golder family and all their past and present employees on 105 years of family, service, and community!
