Join the celebration at the free, family-friendly Juneteenth event from 1-6 p.m. on Saturday, June 21 at Linn-Benton Community College, hosted by Linn Benton NAACP. Donβt miss keynote speaker Michael A. Johnson at 1:30 p.m.βan inspiring education leader dedicated to advancing Black student success.
Learn more about local history on our free Albany Explorer app, where our Pioneering Women series highlights Ramycia McGhee, the first Black woman on our city council since 1957, and Bessie Wyatt Hale, Albanyβs first Black woman business owner.
