City officials voted to convert a library parking lot to serve as public parking for downtown. It’s part of a larger push to revamp city parking.

Drivers circling downtown Beaverton in search of parking, often in vain, may soon get some relief. City officials have agreed to convert an “underutilized” library parking lot to help meet demand.
