Description

Julio Palma, 41, with his two youngest daughters, Emily 1, who is a U.S. citizen, and Julietta, 5, while the family was still in Tualatin. Palma was arrested by immigration authorities and he immediately signed his deportation forms. He was told he would be sent to Chile in seven days. It took nearly three months and at least five detention centers.

Julio Palma is still getting used to being back in Chile – far away from Tualatin where he, his wife and the couple’s four daughters, including their U.S. citizen baby, had made their home for almost three years.
