Description

Protestors at the Hillsboro Civic Center before a city council work session on data centers Tuesday night. Three-dozen people testified at the council meeting, furious about data centers' tax breaks, resource consumption and a perceived lack of government transparency.

Hillsboro residents blasted their civic leaders Tuesday night, furious over the city’s failure to rein in a data center industry they say is gobbling up tax breaks, energy and land.
