Description

Once common from Northern California up to British Columbia, the Oregon silverspot now remains in just a few isolated populations.

A generation of rare silverspot caterpillars rejoined their native habitat on the Oregon coast recently as part of the Oregon Zoo’s efforts to restore the endangered butterflies’ population.
