These bags containing bundles of $100 bills totaling $2.8 million were seized from Heriberto Salazar Amaya's home in northeast Salem during a federal raid on April 28, 2025, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration.The DEA confiscated about 4.2 million fentanyl pills, $4.4 million in cash, 79 pounds of methamphetamine, 4.5 kilograms of heroin, 7.6 kilograms of cocaine and 11.5 kilograms of fentanyl powder, according to federal prosecutors. Also confiscated were 41 guns and seven vehicles, according to a prosecutor's detention memo.The DEA confiscated about 4.2 million fentanyl pills, $4.4 million in cash, 79 pounds of methamphetamine, 4.5 kilograms of heroin, 7.6 kilograms of cocaine and 11.5 kilograms of fentanyl powder, according to federal prosecutors. Through secret wiretaps, electronic surveillance and arrests of alleged couriers, federal agents traced a man to Oregon and identified him as the leader of a multi-state drug trafficking ring with direct ties to Mexico’s Sinaloa cartel, records show.
