An Oaks Amusement Park patron took this photo of the AtmosFEAR ride while it was frozen in an inverted position for 25 minutes on June 14, 2024. Bystanders watched and heard cell phones and shoes drop amid screams from stranded riders.

The two teenage girls remember the 360-degree swinging pendulum known as the AtmosFEAR ride coming to an abrupt stop upside-down at Southeast Portland’s Oaks Amusement Park in June 2024.
