A 53-year old former health services advocate at Taft High School in Lincoln City was sentenced by a Lincoln Co. judge to 1.5-years in prison for raping a student. Angela Schafer had been employed at the school since 2022. In September of 2024, police began investigating allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a student earlier that year. She was indicted in November of 2024, and pled guilty in court to Third-Degree Rape of a Child under the Age of 16 & Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor.
