The cast of

A giant, human-eating plant, a killer shark and ticked-off, Jewish lesbian activist Marsha Blovotnik. Some of the fiercest scene-chewing characters ever imagined are coming to Portland-area stages this fall. There are comfort musicals and comedies meant to feel like hugs (“Guys and Dolls,” “Pride and Prejudice,” “Table 17” and “Marsha Blovotnik and the Marvelous Magical Chicken Soup”); puzzlers to solve (“Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None” and “Anthropology”); and daring shows challenging conventions and defying categorization (“Glass. Kill. Bluebeard. Imp.” and “An Iliad”).
