A South Florida family is grieving after a lightning strike killed a mother and her 2-year-old daughter in a Margate neighborhood, an incident that authorities say unfolded during a rapidly developing thunderstorm Sunday afternoon. Police said emergency crews responded to reports of two people struck by lightning near Northwest 1st Street and found both victims on a sidewalk. NBC 6 South Florida reported.
