Description

On vacation last week in Southern California, columnist Bill Oram thought he could escape deep thoughts about the city's negotiations with Tom Dundon.

My wife and I had not been back to Los Angeles with our two sons since the day four years ago that we loaded a station wagon with boxes and a golden retriever and hauled them all north.
